Roads and Street Lights
The roads in Shelter Cove are owned by the County and therefor are public roadways.
All rules and regulations for Texas public roadways apply to our roads in Shelter Cove.
For example: Off-road vehicles like 4 wheelers or Dirt Bikes are prohibited on these roads.

The roads are maintained by Polk County Road&Bridge Precinct 1.
Please report road damages like potholes etc. or other road related concerns to:
Precinct 1 Commissioner: 936-365-2222
Street Lights
The Shelter Cove POA pays for one Street Light at each intersection within the Subdivision.
All other lights in front of private residences are paid for by the owners or tenants.
Please report non-working street lights to:
